The New York crowd

As the Yankees were staging their comeback rally last night, the New York crowd came to life. There's something about a New York crowd (as well as the fans at Giants, Rangers, and Knicks games) that sounds different from any other crowds in sports. Those crowd's responses to the action on the field indicate an understanding of the events taking place in a way that you don't see in other ballparks. Not only that, but crowds in many cities scream. New Yorkers roar.
