The 15 inning epic (Yanks 2, Red Sox 0)

Sox 000000000000000 Total: 0-4-0
Yanks 000000000000002 Total: 2-9-1

The "two" in the bottom of the 15 is pictured above (with video here). It was a home run that, for the moment, silenced critics that claim A-Rod can't perform under pressure. It was a home run that vaulted the Yankees to their largest lead in the division so far this year, at 4.5 games. A home run that made sure the Yankees would at least tie this crucial series with their arch rivals. A home run that rewarded the efforts of AJ Burnett, who pitched a gem, and nearly the entire bullpen, including Hughes, Rivera, Aceves, Bruney, and Coke , who followed in Burnett's footsteps by stifling the Red Sox for more than 5 hours and proving that they can match up with what was supposed to be, in Boston, the best bullpen in baseball. And not only did the Yankee bullpen match up with Boston, they defeated them.

And it was a home run that, for A-Rod, won the game and, on this night, the hearts of NY Yankee fans.
