More Halladay

Toronto is in town and once again Cito Gaston is trotting Halladay out there to pitch yet another game against the Yankees. It's September 16th, the Blue Jays are completely out of it, already eliminated from contention. So why bring out Halladay?

What's the point? This does not increase his value. There's really no justifcation for it, other than for the sake of beating the Yankees. The expanded rosters should give teams an opportunity to try out young players. Why isn't Toronto doing this?

They're still an awful organization with no chance of reaching the playoffs, with or without Halladay. It's stupid for them not to shut down their best trade bait and take a look at the youngsters instead. And if Halladay gets hurt and his value declines, Toronto people shouldn't complain.
