Admit it, folks. When you watch Joba trot out of the pen, it just feels right. It just feels like this is what he's meant to do.
Girardi moved Joba to the pen for the last series of the regular season against the Rays. Today Joba made his first appearance out of the pen, and retired the side in order. The second batter struck out swinging on a 93 MPH fastball.
I don't know if Joba is going to be able to do the things he did in 2007. But why not?
