With two outs in the bottom of the ninth, the Cardinals were ahead 2-1 with nobody on base. All day the Cardinal pitchers had stopped the Dodgers attack at every turn, and it seemed imminent that the Cards would take the series back to St. Louis in a 1-1 tie. James Loney, the third batter in the inning and representing the last out, hit a fly ball to left and Matt Holliday settled under it to make the catch and end the game...
The error...
The game-tying hit....
The winner....
